Service is our core

Service is the heart and focus of our business -- so we expanded in to the building next door!  Now located at 3919 Wheeler Ave, our full size service center is manned and ready for tuneups, repairs, or service parts for your next DIY project.

No appointments needed for service, so you can bring your bike in any time we're open.

Regular checkups - even when your bike been working fine and there aren't any specific issues - are key to saving money in the long haul and having a safe bike that lasts.

We take the time to proactively fix problems you didn't even know you had, before they cost you more time, money, or your safety.  Just ask any one of the thousands of customers we've helped - you can trust us for a fair, honest, free assessment.

Once you arrive we'll go through your bike together to see what it needs, and from there we'll be able to give you a free detailed quote and timeline to complete work (in the summer this may be as much as 5-7 days, in the winter it may only be a few hours).

All our work is covered by our industry-leading 60-day satisfaction guarantee.  If any work we performed isn't quite right or needs readjustment, bring the bike back any time within 2 months and we'll get things squared away.

Tune-Up Package Options

For the most comprehensive service and the best value, we recommend choosing one of our complete tune-up packages. We also offer a la carte bike repairs if you're in need of a minor fix or adjustment. We strive to complete your bike service quickly and accurately.

Learn more about our packages below and visit our service center at 3919 Wheeler Ave for a free estimate.  We will evaluate your bike together with you to determine which package makes the most sense.  We will then give you an estimated price and time for completion, and then you can decide how to proceed from there.  No appointment needed, you can come in any time!

*We have no problem installing parts purchased elsewhere, but we reserve the right to refuse installation of any parts we feel are not of sufficient quality, are incompatible with the bicycle, or would cause unsafe riding conditions.

----------

We are often asked if we will work on bikes or e-bikes that we did not sell.  The answer is yes absolutely!

However, the following requirements are in place for e-bikes:

- Bike must be manufactured as e-bikes: we cannot work on regular bikes which have had aftermarket motors or conversion kits added, nor can we install aftermarket conversion kits.  We think they're awesome, but our insurance doesn't cover it.

- Bike must not have had modifications performed on motor, battery, or any electrical components.

- Bikes must conform to and comply with current Class 1, 2, or 3 standards (we cannot work on so-called "class 4" bikes which go faster than 28mph - again, this is an insurance legal issue).

These are insurance requirements and as such there will not be any exceptions made.

Lastly, we can only get electrical parts for bikes that use Bosch, Shimano, Giant/Yamaha, or Bafang systems.  If there are electrical problems with the bike that require electrical parts to be replaced, we may need to have you get the parts from the bike's manufacturer; we can then install them for you.  Mechanical parts are all fairly standard though so if the bike needs things like brake pads, tires, chain, etc then we'll have parts on hand that will fit.

E-bike electrical diagnostic session to troubleshoot things like the bike won't turn on, the throttle doesn't work, etc is a $35 labor charge minimum, in addition to any parts or installation costs.

Labor Rates for Individual Services

Sometimes your bike doesn't need a complete tuneup.  If that turns out to be the case when we evaluate your bike together, it may make more sense to perform services "a la carte" to get your bike back on the road.  Sometimes these can be done while you wait, but you may still need to leave your bike with us for a few days.

We have an extensive service menu and will give you a quote once we perform a needs assessment with you at the service center.  Our labor rate for non-menu-items, weird noises, creak diagnosis, or other things that don't fit neatly into a category is $1 per minute.
