Trade In and Trade Up

Are you looking for a new bike but don't know what to do with your old one? Excellent news: we accept bike trade-ins. Clean up that older bike that's been hanging in your garage, bring it to us for a fast and easy evaluation, and get credit towards the bike of your dreams.

Some notes:  

• We DO have a kid's bike trade-in program - you'll receive 50% of purchase price if the bike was purchased from us and is traded in within 24 months of purchase.  Store credit only to be used towards their next bike purchase for this program.

• We generally do NOT buy used bikes in cash, nor do we do consignments; it is just not worth the time/money for us or for you.  We recommend selling locally on the Facebook group called "DC Used Bicycle Marketplace" (not the regular open marketplace, that is the name of a group.  Search for it, join, sell stuff, it's great). 

• We DO offer trade-in credit for used bikes towards the purchase of a new bike from us.  We'll work together to figure out what will get you the most money - for newer nicer bikes it's usually Pro's Closet (below).  Bicycle Blue Book doesn't always give the most accurate pricing, but it's a good starting point.  If it's a slightly older bike but is in good mechanical shape, we may be able to give you more in store credit than the Pro's Closet program.  Bring your bike in for assessment any time.  Again, this program is only if you're purchasing a new bike from us.
