The ROUTT YBB brings the YBB soft tail to gravels roads worldwide. The bike incorporates the legendary Moots YBB ‘softail’ micro-suspension design, first pioneered on our mountain bikes in the 1990’s and adapts it to create the ultimate gravel bike. The ROUTT YBB is primarily designed for the cyclist looking for next-level compliance, when tackling mixed-surface rides. It features just over 20mm of rear axle travel that takes the edge off backcountry road and trail chatter, to provide supremely smooth, confident, and pleasurable pedaling experiences. The ROUTT YBB boasts a bevy of performance-oriented features. Perfect rear wheel and brake alignment come courtesy of our proprietary 6/4 titanium 3D-printed flat-mount disc brake mount. To provide the greatest range of tire and wheel combination compatibility, the frame and fork are designed to accommodate up to 50mm tires. Optimized for 700 x 40-50mm tires, with a maximum tire size of 700 x 50mm. The ROUTT YBB frame comes standard with a 3rd water bottle location, rear fender mounts and Moots all carbon gravel/cross fork that features hidden fender eyelets for all-weather riding. The ROUTT YBB uses a US-made, seamless 3/2.5 titanium tubeset and is available in seven sizes, with custom geometry available to ensure perfect fit for every rider. Tire Size – The ROUTT YBB holds a 50mm maximum tire tucked into a 43.7cm chain stay for quick handling and great climbing. The 50mm tire has generous room at the chainstay and the upper seat stay for mud and debris. Angles, Stems & Bars – The geometry of the Routt YBB uses a slacker head angle than before and a longer top tube to give the bike a longer front-center. Going to this set up you will use a 1-2cm shorter stem depending on fit needs. Pairing a handle bar that is also 1-2cm wider will put the rider in the sweet spot of stability and control. Improved stability, comfort, broader handling capability and more fun. Gravel W I D E for all: As the evolution of gravel bikes continue, drive trains take on a special debate of 1x or 2x? Well, that’s up to you and your preferences for your local riding. But what’s great is that SRAM and Shimano have come out with gravel wide drivetrain options.. What does this mean? GRAVEL WIDE….say it again with spirit! What does it do? Gravel wide moves the chain ring (s) outboard as well as adding 2.5mm to each side for width at the crank. What this allows a builder like Moots to do is move the chainstays outboard to create tire clearance WITHOUT making the chainstays longer. This in conjunction with the wider gearing range now needed for 45-50mm tires and the terrain we want to ride makes this a win-win. The ROUTT UPDATES in all three models are built around gravel wide. The ONLY drawback is that you will NOT be able to install a standard road group set on the Routt family of bikes, but with broader tires being used we’ve found standard road gearing simply no longer to be relevant for this application. FORK: The current Moots gravel/cx fork is standard on all three Routt models. It features ample room for the 50mm tire, tapered steerer tube, hidden fender eyelets, 12mm thru-axle and flat mount brake mount. Its full carbon construction is stiff, durable and lightweight.

Surly Big Fat Dummy

The Big Fat Dummy is a long tail cargo bike that took a few too many doses of growth hormones. At first glance, you might say that Surly just put bigger tires on a Big Dummy. But if you said that, you'd actually be very wrong so just… don't. Think of Big Fat Dummy as more of a second or third cousin to Big Dummy rather than a brother. They share some of the same DNA and look sort of similar, but they're two very different bikes and really only interact when they both reach for the potato salad spoon at that family reunion that no one really wants to be at anyway. Now that that's out of the way, let's get down to the nitty gritty of what makes this hulking beast of a bike tick. Surly's goal with designing a cargo bike around fat tires was to create the most stable, stiff, and traction-laden ride possible while hauling a ton of stuff. Big Fat Dummy has a longer toptube and slacker headtube than its more svelt cousin giving it a nice, predictable, and stable ride. They also used thinner, lighter tubing to construct its cargo area so while it's an overall burlier bike, there's not much difference in weight. Big Fat Dummy accepts either 10mm or 12mm axles in the rear with a spacing of 190/197mm. That big ol' spacing equates to one thing: tire clearance for days. Big Fat Dummy maxes out at a massive 26 x 5.25" tire.* While that large of a tire provides the most traction and stability a bike can possibly offer, it's also a lot of rubber to push and might not be for everybody. Luckily, Big Fat Dummy is also a blast to ride with 3" tires too. It uses the same 100mm suspension-corrected fork as the Wednesday, meaning if you want to add a little squishy squishy to your ride, you can throw a Bluto on and let ‘er rip. If you intend to carry a passenger on your Big Fat Dummy, Surly requires use of their Dummy Rail Collars. These provide a secondary retention system for the rack, as well as stiffen the rack system. In addition, a stoker handlebar set up, found on tandem bicycles, is recommended as well. Make sure to check with seat post manufacturer for stoker handlebar compatibility. All Big Fat Dummy framesets and bikes ship with a Dummy deck, rails, bags, and the aforementioned Dummy Rail Collars so you can immediately start hauling cargo — human or otherwise. Big Fat Dummy is ready and willing to carry all sorts of crap — literally. It's already in use on an organic farm in Ecuador so it's likely that it's hauled some form of manure by now. *Using a 26 x 5.25" tire will cause some drivetrain limitations.

WTF! That’s right! You heard it correctly. Some of us here have been known to wear tighter-fitting clothes and pedal long distances to visit nature’s delights, we also saw the huge dollar signs in gravel which could fund the development of other ridiculous projects like a beer-powered jet ski. We have made what appears to be, in fact, a gravel bike—but not just any gravel bike. This gravel bike or The Hagar as we call it, has borrowed some things from its fully suspended Evil family members. In an effort to be less terrified and have more fun we drew inspiration from the Offering which uses a longer front to center and reach, shorter stem, and 430mm chain stays to supply mountain bike stability and handling to the twitchy gravel category. We have added more trail and chainstay length for higher speeds both on and off gravel, while allowing for more party on singletrack. In addition to aggressive geometry we added clearance for 50c tires for the most ambitious adventures. Super-low standover heights and dropper posts keep blood pressures in check when things point downward. 140-160mm Flat mount or MTB discs hold down the stopping duties. While shred pumps through the Chamois Hagar’s veins, versatility grounds its' infectious energy. Seven water bottle mounts, stealth rack and fender mounts, 1x and 2x options, close ratio and wide-range builds, internal routing, Di2 provisions, and 100 x 12/142 x 12 spacing just begin to tell its story. There’s even rubber frame protection for when things get loose and rowdy. And while a 66.67 headtube angle may beckon berm-slapping daydreams, the Hagar begs to be ripped anywhere.
